We as the Agent arrange for the interview. We inform you of the farmer’s name and contact details. You then reach out to the employer and advise who you are and why you are calling

Hoe werk die telefoniese onderhoud met die werkgewer?

Sodra 'n werkgewer belang stel in jou sal jy 'n "Interest Notification" ontvang.

Farm4USA sal die kontak besonderhede van die werkgewer aan jou stuur.

Skakel die werkgewer vir ‘n persoonlike onderhoud vanaf 16:00 (SA-tyd) tot ongeveer 24:00 (SA-tyd). Hou aan om die potensiële werkgewer te probeer opspoor. MOET NIE NA EEN OF TWEE OPROEPE OPGEE NIE!

Indien jy sukkel om die potensiële werkgewer in die hande te kry, laat weet ons dadelik.

How does the telephonic interview work with the employer?

As soon as an employer in interested in you, a “Interest Notification” will be received.

Farm4USA will send you the contact details of the interested employer.

Contact the employer for a personal interview from 16:00 (SA time) till about 24:00 (SA time). Keep on trying to contact the potential employer. DO NOT GIVE UP AFTER ONE OR TWO CALLS!

If you experience problems in contacting the employer, inform us immediately.

Punte om te onthou gedurende die onderhoud

• Stel jouself voor aan die boer.

• Maak seker dis 'n gelee tyd om met hom te gesels.

• Gee die werkgewer kans om al sy nodige vrae aan jou te stel. (Antwoord soveel moontlike vrae maar hou dit kort en kragtig)

• Indien jy seker is dat die werkgewer al sy nodige vrae gevra het kan jy jou vrae aan hom stel om jouself op hoogte te bring bv. verblyf, werksomstandighede, wat verwag word van 'n werkgewer ens.

BELANGRIK: Skep altyd 'n goeie indruk. Jy is nie die enigste kandidaat wat oorweeg sal word vir die werkaansoek nie!

Points to remember during the interview.

• Introduce yourself to the farmer

• Make sure it is a convenient time to speak to him.

• Give the employer a chance to ask you questions (Answer as many of the questions as possible, but keep the answers short and strong).

• Once you are sure the employer has asked all his questions, you can then ask your questions to bring yourself up to date with eg. Housing, work conditions, what he expects from you, etc.

IMPORTANT: Always create a good impression. You are not the only candidate that will be considered for the position.
